It's the third prefecture in population from the four perfectures
of Crete. There are a lot of natural beauties, golden sandy
beaches, villages that maintain the tradition, a lot of archaeological
places and cultural centres with most excellent infrastructure
for a pleasant stay.
Lasithi is famous for its, unique in Greece, palm tree forest
of Vai and its graphic plateau with the watermills, the important
monasteries and monuments. Lasithi is an important capital
of tourism for the island and for Greece.
